"I have an A-Level in maths but still managed to lose count of the times this supposed 'great man' would simply ignore my polite request for a post-match interview at every ground in London. Not even an acknowledgement of my presence, not even a "no thanks, son"." Yep, definitely a pint of bitter for this fella
At least he admits what he is at the end of the piece, If being a winner means you have to behave like this, then you know what? I'm delighted to remain a loser.
Pathetic that its only now he's gone to find the balls to criticise him That's why he's only writing for such a ****ty rag As much as I found ferguson loathsome, you couldn't argue with how he ran things and that includes the media shield of protection
It's a fair article But this divot didn't even have the stones to write it until after Fergie's left which is cowardly.
It's not really. It makes some fair points, but has no sense of balance at all - doesn't consider what was needed to win in the modern game and how hard it is to sustain success over a long period of time. He also just imitates what several other journos have written in previous years whilst adding his own personal bitterness and, as you say, waiting until SAF has retired so he can spit some bile with no comebacks. Smacks of those historical revisionists who like to claim Churchill wasn't a great man cos he was sexist, smoked a lot and was rude to his staff. All completely irrelevant, and arguably partly necessary, to his successful leadership of the country during the war.
I read it the other day and have forgotten every word but to suggest its fir is utter nonsense. Its bitter pathetic nobody complaining that a successful somebody didnt give him a hug.
That's what I meant It's a terribly unbalanced and bitter article, but the criticisms aren't fiction is all I meant.
