There's even an Irish bloke in the cycling.*

*I only know this because Belarus were losing so I had to switch to the cycling in anger.

Arguably the world's premier city and certainly the most cosmopolitan, London is pulling off a stonker!

Today was a trial for Gaelic Football as an Olympic event. The lads from the IOC were all set to have it in the next Olympics after watching the magnificent men in the Blood and Bandage destroy the Lillywhites....but they fell asleep during the Kerry and Donegal game and decided not to put it in.

All it would take to cap it off now would be a gold for Katie Taylor and a 9.5 from Usain Bolt.

Bolt may have to run 9.5 to win it. That bloke Blake looks like a real beast. He is a huge threat to Bolt.

    I hope Blake wins it.

Agreed, the BBC coverage likwise is top notch.

    Best Olympics I have watched.

BBC on-line is superb. So many channels to watch.

I was at St James Park yesterday to watch the men quarter final's between Brazil and Honduras. There was a big crowd with a carnival atmopshere, especially when a Brazilian samba band pitched up about thirty yards behind us. What a cracking atmosphere they provided. Some typically horny-looking blonde Brazilians birds in there as well. Great stuff.

I watch RTE when there is an Irish athlete on just because they are hilarious but the BBC coverage has been top notch...apart from Linekar.

Apart from Bolt doing 9.5 I'd love to see an entire field go under 10.

Was that Konnie Huq on earlier?

She gets better looking every time I see her.
