We know that at the moment Norwich is the best team in East Anglia (unfortunately) and I think that most of us Town fans acknowledge that as a fact. What I wanted to know is what would be your best EAST ANGLIAN football team made up from both of our football clubs? So in other words if we hadn't had a rivalry and there had just been a team called East Anglia who would have been the best players to have represented it? To make things fair the only rule would be that Ipswich fans must include a minimum of 4 Norwich players and vice-versa! Just a bit of fun and should make for some cracking banter! Kevin Keelan Mick Mills Kevin Beattie Steve Bruce Ian Culverhouse John Wark Arnold Muhren Matt Holland Darren Eadie Paul Mariner Marcus Stewart SUBS: Paul Cooper, Chris Sutton, Craig Bellamy, Terry Butcher, George Burley, Frans Thjssen Manager Sir Bobby Robson
In other words name four of the opposing team and then the dream team of your own side? Why not spice the rules up a bit and have to include a maximum of four from any East Anglian side in the starting XI, at least 5 squad players who have turned out for Cambridge, Colchester, Luton, Posh or Northampton or any East Anglian sides I've overlooked... (sorry, MK Dons just don't count!) What do you think Warky?!
Trouble is Yorkie I don't know many other footballers from those lesser clubs let alone the positions they played in! Best keep it simple I think
ok warky, but i can only go back as far as the late 80s so ipswich won't have any of their true greats involved! so here goes... Starting XI: Bryan Gunn Mauricio Tarrico Mark Bowen Tony Mowbray Ian Butterworth Darren Huckerby Ian Crook Matt Holland Martijn Reuser Darren Bent Dean Ashton Subs: Neil Alexander Malky Mackay Jason de Vos Jim Magilton Darren Eadie Craig Bellamy Grant Holt Manager: Paul Lambert Groundsman: Alan Ferguson Head Chef: Delia Smith CBE Head of turnstile development: Simon Clegg MBE CBE OBE TTFN Club colours: Yellow & Green with blue piping Ground name: The DeliaDome featuring the Marcus Evans Group cafeteria
Superman Love the title "Head of turnstile development" Surprised you left your hero on the bench though! ps Johnny Wark was playing in the 90s!
i'll use him as an impact sub! i don't rate bent as a player that highly but he sure knows where the back of the net is - he'd compliment ashton well i think

Was a toss-up between Lambo' and Sir Bob for Manager, but as I think PL will eventually win Champions League titles with a top club, I've got to go with him P.S. Anyone who chooses a 'keeper other than Keelan must be waiting for the men in white coats or is just out of short trousers. If he were playing today, where the rules on eligibility are more relaxed, he would have definitely been England's no. 1 !
