Just a thought that crossed my mind but is the reason for Newcastle's better position with the media not so much due to our table position but because headlines are so much easier to write?

We might have arguably the best team pun-wise in the Prem:

Tim Krul - The Sun: "Life can be so Krul for Harper"

Steven Taylor - Setanta: "Taylor-made recipe for success"

Yohan Cabaye - The Sun: "Pardew hails £4.3m Cab"

Hatem Ben Arfa - Shields Gazette" "Hatem ain’t Arf hot"

Peter Lovenkrands - Daily Mirror" "Toon are Loven a bit of Danish"

James Perch - Yahoo News: "Derby fail to persuade Newcastle over landing Perch"

Ryan Taylor - The Sun: "Ryan injury r-ankles Hughton"

    Shola Ameobi
    - The Sun: "Pride is why Newcastle are Sho good"

Demba Ba - The Sun: "Ain’t no stopping Dem now"

Leon Best - Shields Gazette "Newcastle strikers are the Best Ba none"

Sylvain Marveaux - The Northern Chronicle: "Third Marv-ellous signing for Newcastle"

Cheik Tiote - Real Radio Newcastle: "Boom Boom Cheik Cheik the Room"

Gabriel Obertan - The Northern Chronicle: "Gabriel's Ober the moon with Toon's progress."

Nile Ranger - Someone must have used it: "Bad boy Ranger in De-Nile"

And possibly for the future, The Sun: "Toon want new £7m Maig-pie"

If you haven't been physically ill from the corniness of these puns, congratulations.

Once, in The Sun, when snakes were found in the England training camp, they printed the lines "Snakes on a Wayne! They think it's all cobra, it hiss now" Literally tried to ram the most puns into one sentence <doh> <laugh> Mental

I love how they're all positive except Ranger's and Perch's.

We should try and make up a positive headline involving Perch.

It is corny but there is an art to stuff like this.

The best one was when Inverness CT beat Celtic. The headline read something along the lines of ''Super Cally go ballistic, Celtic were atrocious''. Purely belter that one!

That is absolutely mint - I'm not fan of the pun headlines but that is good.
