A little over a year ago, I joined three other writers in penning a review of the best 25 players in the Championship, as voted for by fans on Twitter and across forums. This original articles are archived here.

This week I've been reviewing those 25 names, along with some help from two of my original co-writers and some fans of other clubs, checking out their progress and judging whether they've proven themselves worthy of the tag they were given for the original post.

The review is broken into five parts to make for easier reading; all the parts are linked at the bottom of the final article too, if it makes it easier to switch between them.

As ever would appreciate any comments, either on here or on the blog itself, good or bad http://www.not606.com/images/smilies/smiley.gif

Only focussed on the Cardiff players including the incoming Maynard. Seems a fair assessment of their progress one year on tarnished only by a clear severnside slight towards Cardiff generally. Red Dragons? Annual Springtime collapse? Tut! Tut!

The Whitts assessment is pretty much spot on. Whitts is now challenging others for the fans adulation and is coming off second best, though his imposed positional play has a lot to do with his dip in goalscoring prowess. However, overall he has proected the back four well this season and is one of the reasons for a shortfall in opposition goals.

Interesting to see how things have changed in a year though. Maybe a repeat of the exercise would be a good idea. :emoticon-0105-wink:
