I think he should at least sick one recognised striker on the bench, even if it is Prossy/Fryatt/Mclean.
That's pretty much my point. I'm Pro-Prozzy, everyone knows that and I certainly don't think he would be any worse than Graham, but I would happily see any one of the strikers on the bench. And before anyone has a go, it's just my opinion, I'm not slagging SB
I started to think about the bench when they equalised & realised that we had no striker, I was assuming that Graham would go off maybe for Meyler which in turn would push Aluko up top. The only problem I have with Aluko is if he is up front he doesn't stay there, but with Hudds & Livermore he shouldn't need to keep coming back to pick it up!
I think its because we don't play enough balls in to him, in and around the box where he is far more dangerous. I do think the Bench is week without Sagbo, we need at least one recognized striker on there. Don't care who but at least someone to bring on and cause a bit of danger.
Two centre backs on the bench is bloody ridiculous. Even more so, when you consider our best back-up centre back wasn't even one of them. Twenty minutes to go today, I'd have put Prossy or Fryatt on for Graham.
Considering there was no striker on the bench, he should have benched the ineffective Graham, brought Rosenior on and pushed Elmo up to right wing dropping Koren behind Aluko and try and get him in behind their defence. If that wasn't working then get Boyd on for Elmo, switch Koren wide left and Boyd wide right and have the pair try to cut inside and smash them in from range.
Bruce is on the bench because I don't think his Dad wants to leave him out of the matchday squad. Regardless of who was on the bench, Brucey only made the one change anyway. I'd have taken Koren off around the 80 minute mark for Boyd; I thought he had a great game but by the end he was blowing out his arse. Once Sagbo comes back, the bench will look slightly better and we'll see how far the nepotism goes when we find out who has to make way for the striker.
Am I the only one who thought Graham looked like our best goal threat in the second half? It's a bit daft having three defenders on the bench but no strikers or Dudgeon on there. He obviously has no faith in the strikers we've got. I wouldn't have changed it today with the options we've got, I thought he did right as long as no one was tired and needed to come off which he obviously didn't think was the case.
Proschwitz is teflon coated - nothing sticks to him. Had he replaced Graham or Aluko late on we would have ended the game on the back foot rather than the front. SB clearly doesn't rate him or he would surely have been on the bench. I can only guess Fryatt is now set on a move away from the KC and maybe not in the right frame of mind or surely he would have been an option? No doubt Sagbo will be on the bench next Saturday.
McLean would have been an option, a bit more pace than DG, although I think he might be on the way as well.
