I’m sure everyone recalls MAF’s famous quote about the “Manchester United of the South”. Here are a few more of his football sayings that are however perhaps well less remembered: "I had my own club when I was 14 years old. Football is in my blood, and I have been a fan of Fulham for the last 30 years.” "When I get to the club my mood is always lifted. You can be in a terrible mood, but once you're at Fulham, you are happy.” “The Premier League and the FA are run by donkeys who don’t understand business, who are dazzled by money.” And, last but not least a rather pertinent onel: “If you own a football club, you have to be really involved and committed.” The man certainly knew his PR and how to entertain. The word Fulhamish could have been invented for him.
