If PFC bit the dust and the fans wanted to raise a phoenix club, they could apply for a sports grant the same as anyone else. I think that would be a better use of taxpayers money than giving money to support the forlorn hope of fans managing to run a league club with virtually no money.

I agree that if they supporters tried to raise a "phoenix club" then they could apply for a grant but this is not for that purpose. This is to try and save the current financially irresponsible nightmare that PFC has become.

they don't deserve it. I am sure that the players have enough money to not get paid as much as they do.

I would be quite happy if they died and just started again in a lower division.

They couldnt even fill their tiny ground when they put out the rallying call for help...Greatest supporters? lol...I think that myth has been laid to rest now. I dont think they will die as a club and I dont want them to. I just think they will return to their natural habitat of league 1 / 2. Tomorrow marks the return of footballing normality on the South Coast :)

If they had paid the tax man his money they could have asked to borrow some back....<laugh>.....Joking aside though I really cannot see that happening they do it for one they would have to do it for all. From a political point of view I think it would be a disaster for the tories and the lib dems. You can just see the headlines........ taking money away from the retired to give it to Pompey!!! Nah can't see it happening............although nothing would surprise me about that lot to be honest.

I'm actually getting quite worried for the PFC fans who are contributing to the buyout mooted. I'm aware that the money goes to an escrow account and will be returned if is doesn't come off (-£2.50). But if it goes ahead the idea of Kanu, Kitson and TBH continuing to suck money from the club is 'orrible. I also assume (always a mistake with Poopy) that another CVA would have to be agreed so more of the fans "investment would be used to pay creditors, mainly the tax man and Chainrai. Better off with liquidation and investment in a new debt free club surely.
