It appears that during MOTD commentator Guy Mowbray was talking about Sturridge scoring five goals against the black & whites and in a mix up it appeared on screen as black & white scum. Its on the BBC website if someone can paste it on here as I dont know how to do it. I think its quite funny really that they have only discovered what we've known for years. Appealed to my sense if humour.
It just needed some reference to the local dogs, and the day would have been a real tribute the Mr S. Our old commentator, Guy Mowbray was doing the words. Surely he could have given us a bit of Julius Caesar---- Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of WOR -
The original gaffe is pretty funny and you can see how it's been done by voice recognition. I do find it a bit odd that the BBC ran a self-referential article about it though, I'm really not convinced they would have done that about other groups of people. "Oh look we accidentally called these [insert name of religious group or even just club like Tottenham] people scum"
I don't, Everybody takes the piss out of Newcastle. They were just bragging about their very funny joke.
