Bit harsh there (with the exception of Hulk).

The other two kept out of trouble all day which is far better than pretty much the rest of the grid.

For me personally Hulk trashed his car, and the other two were schooled by their teammates. Could add both toro rosso drivers to the mix as well.

Best Driver: Ricciardo, got dumped down in 17th with an unscheduled pit-stop.
    Worst Driver: Hulk,
    Stupidest driver: Vettel.
Best Rookie/New Driver, Stroll, Ocon was good too.
Best Team: Mercedes had the best car.
Surprise Of the Day: That Smithers still didn't put the R in surprise, so I'm saying Stoll.
Worst Team: Sauber I guess, Hulk dnf wasn't team oriented.
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on Massa, Stroll (and I think Alonso too, or was he behind.) the RBR is great on the brakes.

    Most Surprising Result: Stroll
    Least Surprising Result: Palmer
Funniest moment: DC preparing his receptacle.
Excuse of the week: whatever Vettel says, though I think it was unintentional, he was stupid to pull alongside and start waving his fists, this isn't a roman street.

Special Mention: Bottas, great recovery drive, and Massa who probably would've got 2nd.

Best Driver:... stroll got the award but was he lucky? He was good all weekend. But massa drove better imo
    Worst Driver: ocon.
    Best Rookie/New Driver stroll easy.
BestTeam:... i dunno a lot of guys worked damned hard there. Force india return guys to travk. Ferrari got raikkonen somehow back to track.. williams were good.
Surprise Of the Day: williams all round
Worst Team: forve india for not cooling the brat off last race.
    Best Overtake: ricciardo.

Most Surprising Result: alsonsos engine did not blow.

Least Surprising Result: sky team playing brits first with hamilton. Sorry but hamilton played games at the restart and separate vettels idiocy after from that and hamilrins no angel... it was like the entire of the uk had to rally round their man effort.

    Funniest moment: the shoe.

Excuse of the week: meh... hamilton didnt need one due to vettel. Hes now playing the saint after basically coasting to a near stop to gain advantage.

Special Mention: massa. Great drive lousy stupid ending where he deserved more.

Best post from the race thread:
Race Rating: 8/10 very good race. Monaco and singapore can take note if how a strret circuit can have passing.

<laugh> Great post from Big Ern.

    Best Driver: Stroll
Worst Driver: Hulkenberg for sub-standard clumsiness, but more importantly, Vettel for sub-standard behaviour. VETTEL is currently a disgrace to to motor sport, and through his actions today, has brought it into disrepute.
    Best Rookie/New Driver: Stroll
Best Team: Very difficult this time.
Surprise Of the Day: I saw one marshall actually holding a brush!
Worst Team: Agreeing with EMSC on this one.
Best Overtake: Ricciardo double was excellent. Hamilton around the outside of Ocon was courageous and skilful. But surely Bottas on Stroll across the line for most dramatic and greatest significance.

Most Surprising Result: I'm going to say Stroll, although actually, I'm not too surprised at his superb achievement. He's always had pace and his car is quick. Nevertheless, his podium finish has raised awareness and more than a few eyebrows!
Least Surprising Result: Inept marshalling in a country with so little understanding of motor sport. Also Vettel getting lucky over and over again. He seems to have a knack of it – but no, happyal, this does not mean I hate him!! ;)
Funniest moment: Hamilton's HANS solo device.
Excuse of the week: Vettel. All post race interviews…

Special Mention: FIA: For your organisation's credibility, do not wait to see how things are panning out before deciding to hand out penalties for blatant misdemeanour. You've done it in the past, but perhaps never has it been more obvious!
Best post from the race thread: eddie_squidd for independently using the exact same analogy as me. He's obviously onto something ;)
    Race Rating: 8.88/10

Don't usually do these but have to today.

Best Driver: Strolololol (Cheers Ern, still cracks me up)
Worst Driver: Ocon and Vettel. Both cost their teams big points.
    Best Rookie/New Driver: Strolololol again
Best Team: Could have been FI... but they all tried to eff it. So Macca for some points!!! Wahey!
Surprise Of the Day: Williams being in with a shout.
Worst Team: Has to be the FI drivers shooting themselves in the foot. So FI
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on both Williams.

    Most Surprising Result: Stroll.
    Least Surprising Result: Palmer.
Funniest moment: Vettel asking what the penalty was for. Strolololol losing out at the very last moment.
Excuse of the week: Anything Vettel said while fudging around the matter at hand.

Special Mention: Bottas somehow landing a podium after being a lap down.
Best post from the race thread: One of my own, obviously
Race Rating: 9/10 - I like it dirty.

    the perfect analogy.

I always love your scores Cosi, I want to know what system of calculation you use that results in a score to 2 decimal places?

Best Driver: Lance Stroll. he had been working hard on set up and it has bared fruit. Looks like he is up to Massa speed nearly. He is officially off my black list.
Worst Driver: was a few but Vettel took the biscuit. Worst display of sportsmanship. Reminds me of a Beckham World cup 1998 moment
    Best Rookie/New Driver Stroll.
Best Team: Williams maybe? shame about massa.
Surprise Of the Day: it was all a supprise
Worst Team: Force india. another inter team meltdown
Best Overtake: Bottas for 2nd on the line was the most meaningful. Ricciardo on both williams was pretty special too.

    Most Surprising Result: Stroll podium.
Least Surprising Result:No penalty for good boy Hamilton
Funniest moment: Alonso radio 'Arghhh we could have won this'
Excuse of the week: Grosjeans constant moaning of the brakes. Vettel thinking the penalty was for the going into the back of hamilton.

Special Mention: Wehrlein making an important move on his team mate showing he is the alpha of the team.
Best post from the race thread:
Race Rating: 8/10 seemed overtaking was possible here despite the carnage.

Random number generator rounded to three decimal places, as Bhaji correctly states. The true score for this race is 8.878. But for simplicity I round it a bit more because thousandths looks like I'm splitting hairs. ;)
Spot on! Did I mention it before?
