So Kubica has been told he can't risk using the kerbs this weekend. He's using the floor damaged in Australia, and they don't have a spare. Shambles of a team, HRT never got this bad did they?
I hope it's because they are working on a new one that might actually work. So it's not worth making a replacement the same as the one that doesn't work. Well I hope that's the reason.........
Finished 4 seconds off the pace as well, but Ferrari blew everyone out of the water in that session. 1.2s gap to Grosjean is probably the more pertinent figure. That's in line with the gap between Russell and Sainz in Australian Qualifying. Excellent quote from Jack Nicholls on 5live "Perez says that Stroll has the quickest race pace of any of his teammates. Which I can say, after one race of the season, is a lie."
We'll wait until tomorrow to see how genuine that pace is. A 2 second swing between Bahrain and Australia seems a but extreme!
Sir Patrick Head has returned , It WILL take ages to sort , but I expect him to do it https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/47749887
I think it is between Vettel and Hamilton tomorrow. Renault are only a couple of tenths off Merc so we can't be seeing the true pace of any of them.
have to feel better about competitive season after p2 at least. though... which race reflects reality. is ferrari that far ahead or will tomorrow see Merc on top.
Ferrari too fast, season over, etc McLarens going surprisingly well, are they taking Red Bulls position in beating the works Renault team?
