So, here it is, the much awaited bank holiday weekend No.2. What's then plan? Got any? When not bumping into very minor local sporting celebs I'll be doing football training, playing golf, going over to friends for food (which could yet be a barbecue, who knows?), junior football presentation Sunday followed by taking a bunch of teenagers for surfing lessons followed by **** takeaway food and a gamer sleepover, so not much sleep the Sunday before getting rid if the ****ers and then eak out the Monday gardening, possibly, before back to work Tuesday. Busy. Anyone got owt on? Piss ups, weekends away, football, cricket etc.
Nah, ceiling and skirting all need doing and it's the en suite so lots of angles and difficult bits. Going to be all day.
That sounds boring, why not paint a sunset or a pastoral scene instead? Much larger market for that kind of thing. Not many people want paintings of bathrooms.
I have no plans. Weather's going to be **** as well. I really don't want to watch the snooker but may have to.
Dinner party at mine tonight. Kid friendly curry play date chaos Saturday Homework. Run while daughter does gymnastics. Then off to South Bank to meet pals, taking kids for street food, interactive installation then theatre. Put little un to bed and pals over for adult drinks at mine. Sunday Homework. Cycle to pool. Core work while daughter swims. Lunch at farmers market then maybe go to Chelsea Watford, might blow it out and listen to it on radio at pal’s allotment and get stoned instead! Bbq at mate’s house with kids Monday Homework. Plyometrics with daughter in gym. Bike ride home. Play date over for lunch. Drop daughter with ex and dinner party at pal’s. Mrs gets back from Somerset
Bought a property at the end of last summer to refurb and sell on. Final push this weekend to finish it off, but I will have a few beers watching a band tonight.
this is why i love working bank holidays. get paid, and get 2 days in lieu. mind i was doing the meat grid yesterday, and the salt chilli pork looks ****ing lovely. not that i was looking of course as i was working....so did the chinese pork steaks, and the maple ones.... spent half the shift yesterday just going 'oh that looks nice'. Love picking the meat grid, seeing what's hitting the stores.
I work every bank holiday. I usually take Xmas day off but work most other holidays. We don't get paid time off for holidays, so I'd rather go into the office on a holiday when it's empty and take my time off when everyone else is in the office.
i get paid and double lieu, or double pay and a day., i take the former. only day when i actually want to be there.
The other advantage, is that the kids are home on holidays so it's not really "time off" when I'm home, I'm expected to parent.
