Messi odds on to win it for the fourth year in a row, greedy ****. Anyway they announced the team of the year, and not a single player from the PL got in. Casillas Alves Pique Ramos Marcelo ------Alonso Xavi --------Iniesta ----Falcao Messi Ronaldo All La Liga players.
I really don't agree about the back 4 and Alonso, but these critics have always been La Liga centered. Most have probably seen every Barcelona and RM game, and know about teams from the rest of the world only from an odd derby game.
fair enough. it is really the best league at the moment. maybe not in terms of competition, but in terms of strength at the top.
Their editing is ****. It's like they can show only footage of shots to goal, so all Iniesta had was missed chances... the ****. They aren't too used to midfielders being in contention.
I don't agree with the team of the year at all - Germany deserves far more recognition. And if you don't recognize Chelsea for their defensive performance, how the heck did they win the CL last year. YOu simply HAVE to put a Chelsea defender in that team.
The editing is ****. The nominations are ****. The presenters are ****. **** these awards, I'm watching Hollyoaks.

Is this the award that is voted for by international managers? Or it used to be? I always take them with a pinch of salt as there is often a lot of political voting and bias, messi probably deserves it again, but I remember dennis begkamp came third in 1997, he was without a doubt the best player in the world that year, some of his performances were out of this world, and some of the goals he scored would put even messi to shame. The Brazilian Renaldo came first that year, based purely on reputation as he didn't really have that good a season. While roberto carlos came second based pretty much on that one free kick he scored in the tournua tournament (the one that bent round the wall like a banana). I remember seeing a list of who voted for who after it and all the south American and Asian managers voted for south American players, while most European managers voted for bergkamp.
