Just a take on a few threads, MM has stated he has cover for each of the back four and will most probably, be looking to bring in one last defender in the transfer window. I spoke to a friend who was out in Seville last week and gave me some feedback on the two teams fielded for each half; I heard some great things from our new signings but was particularly interested in the back four. He spoke to Gerrard and said he's lost a lot of weight, he's hoping for a great come back in a city shirt and had plenty to say about Bothroyd. Who would we prefer to see as our main back four this season? Again it could be a little too early but after tonightâs game with Celtic, I'm sure MM will start putting his first choice team together. Bluebirds.
McNuggs, Hudson, Gerrard and Taylor with Quinn, Keinan, Evans and Darcy as back up. Okay if more experience needed then Gyepes (if he stays and is happy to warm the bench) for Evans.
I think that McNaughton, Hudson, Taylor will be in most teams, then it's between K9 and Gerrard for the other CB. I'd go for K9 but not too fussed if Gerrard gets the nod.
Think everyone would go along with that, toss up before AG and K9, although I heard K9 was playing long balls over the top and MM was pulling his hair out, you can't base that for one half of football but it shows MM wants tidy, passing play along the floor. Great stuf.
