He has recently though so he may have picked up a little niggle or something that made him miss the most recent session.
Surely this should be the final nail in the coffin of Ings going to Spurs. (I actually quite like it)
Dean Windass has spoken: “I don’t think he will go to Tottenham, but I think he’s nailed on for West Ham. Antonio is still there, but you’ve got to have cover,”
I mean it is quite mad anyway but why does Dean Windass think West Ham will pay circa 100k a week to a guy to be back up to someone he is better than? Blimey if the suggestion really is that his best option is to go to sit on West Ham’s bench then maybe he will stay here Backup for Antonio - do me a favour ...
Iain Dowie was a cult figure. I think it took a long while for Saints fans to eventually appreciate what he contributed to the team but I seem to recall him having a particularly purple patch. It is strange to look back at the Branfoot era and some of the rubbish that he signed without recognising that Branfoot probably contributed to in stature of Southampton than anyone else. I don't think that Branfoot would have lasted as long as he did these days but Dowie was one of his best signings in my opinion.
Physio bench maybe - alongside Antonio. The two most injury-prone forwards in the league covering for each other.
