"Sounds" like he wants out based on body language... riiight.
I know. Talksport...!
The more likely explanation is that he's frustrated with his own form as well as the team's.
With his current form would he be a big miss?
Form is temporary; class is permanent. So yes.
Look at his goals against Liverpool and Wolves again.
Bang on point! It's just a niggle in my brain which says once that wretched contract is signed we'll all get back on track. It does seem to have been a strange coincidence that since the matter rose up the level of discussion etc we've been off the boil. Too simple an explanation with everything else going on, I know but still a strange coincidence.
Well like you say, there's all sorts of issues, almost a perfect ****storm that's brought us to where we are. Not sure if Danny's drop in form is related to his contract remaining unsigned. It certainly could be a factor.
I reckon the real issue right now for the players, is the psychological hangover of getting smashed 9-0 at Old Trafford. That has to leave emotional scars., Then the Wolves game, so soon after after beating them in a Cup Tie, seemed to offer a real chance at redemption. Only to be robbed of that chance, either by bad luck, bad officiating, or both, which has shaken confidence even more.
We must be due a turnaround in fortune soon. Having actual Full Backs would help. It's quite an important, specialist, position after all.
I agree. I was just putting the feelers out to see how fans felt. Now I know
No player is bigger than the club though either tbf.
Neil Ruddock is bigger than the club now
But l did think Talksport were very kind to us in that well researched report - apparently we only lost 2-0 at Leeds!
I blame VAR ......
Pretty sure Liverpool let him go because of his injury record. Hasn’t exactly been injury free since leaving them, has he?
I also don’t think Liverpool would be interested, and with Leicester looking to buy that lad from Celtic, I can see him going to spurs now.
Probably go to West Ham. Or somewhere else with a similar record of not really advancing a player’s career.
I could see Salah or Mane leaving Liverpool, so you never know.
Don't think their fans would stand for either of that pair getting replaced by a former cast-off.
And I can assure you that's exactly how it would look to them.
It would but they like a bit of Saints dust on a player... been a while since that’s happened. Be good to stoke some old fires
It’s a strange report if true as he apparently wants Champions league!
