If we don't get this takeover he's getting a move to a big club very soon.

And it won't be Liverpool they don't have enough money

Don't know how it hadn't hit me but you're spot on there. Lascelles being injured is another bonus

 

ASM is incredible and no team can cope with him.

My only fear is the injuries, and I just hope he doesn't become another Keiron Dyer in that respect.

 

HBA was indeed a maverick. Just not consistent. 1 game in 10.

If ASM continues like he is doing then you'll soon be doing a name change to Saint 10

 

He won't be at newcastle next season.

I have to agree without a takeover. He unlocks defences and in a top team he wont get 3/4 on him.

 

He needs to toughen up. Second half there was a number of 50/50 challenges he bottled and just jumped out of the way.

 

It comes to something that Liverpool players targeted him with several Industrial challenges
maybe he was protecting himself a bit

 

He was, but you can't do that if you're going to be a top player.
He has to have the mentality that if they hit me hard I'm gonna get back up and hit the ****s harder.
He hasn't got that in him yet.

He needs more protection

Bruce should be bangimg on about it to attract more scrutiny to it on the pitch.

Bruce doesn't have the intelligence to do so

 

Nah he'd get him a career ending injury because the challenges are desperate and he's at full speed and operating on incredible balance.. He's twisting and turning.. The way he plays will see him get buckled at some point

 

HBA and ASM definitely share that natural ability and maverick quality that few players have. ASM is a step above HBA though. He's a better player, and has by far, the better mentality. You can tell ASM wants to improve, wants to be better but also take the team forward.

This season, despite the injuries, I've seen him be more than an outlet. He's threatening or making goals and assists.

He'll be with us for another season and I'd have no quarrel with him if that's it. He deserves to be at a club in the top half.

He's better than Lucas Moura, or Lamela. He'd start for Arsenal and Everton.

 

So teams will kick lumps out of him and he gives up?

The challenges he was bottling were 50/50, not at full speed, he just didn't fancy it. At the top level you just can't do that.
