There is no jinx but the lack of vocal backing was so bad you could have heard a pin drop. Until such time as we make Ashton Gate a fortress where others fear to tread we have no chance of the success that was promised. I would suggest that we could have the worst home record of any club in the Championship and if you pile on the losses during the last 10-15 minutes of matches then I think we could seal the source of our repeated lack of success. Home form is vital to achieving the goals set out by SL and yet we continue down the same road of dire runs at our supposed safe points haven.
I have to admit, watching from my Swindon bedroom on the Sky audio-visual receiver device, I thought the crowd sounded quite vocal.
I think it’s to do with where Sky put the microphones. It wasn’t quiet in there, but my criticism is where our singing section is in relation to the away end. Where I sit I can hear more of the away fans and they sound louder. But when they are quiet I can hear our fans very well.
