The Mandalorian is on the "list" for us. The Boys looks interesting, just had a look to see what it's about. That one could get a spin soon enough maybe <ok>

The Mandalorian is excellent but i'm a bit of a Star Wars geek so might be a bit biased. The first series of The Boys was very good. I've heard the second series isn't as good but i'll still watch it at some point. If you like suspense and a bit of horror and haven't seen it yet then i'd recommend The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. I haven't seen the follow up The Haunting of Bly Manor yet but the first one is well worth a watch.

The Haunting of Hill House was decent but I did just recently finish Bly Manor and it was a bit of a bore, I felt. To me, it was more of a love story than the horror I was anticipating. I wouldn't put anyone off it though, as you could likely form a different opinion upon watching it than I did.

I have no idea if it has already been commented here because I don't go through this thread (if it has I apologize) but "The Good Fight" is wonderful. There are even times when she outdoes her "mother" "The Good Wife" which seemed impossible when it started.

Yes. First series of The Boys was good, second one is a bit tiring. I've given it up.

Yuk. I had to stop the clip, it was too much for me. As a young buck, I loved this stuff, but not anymore.

It is Monday right? Smokey Johnson kills it on drums. He gives the base a right old floggin'. Reggie Houston's baritone sax was brilliant as well. <applause>

Yep, agree, some scenes in BB were pretty bloody awful. People seem to forget about the thousands (millions?) who have had their lives ruined by taking cheaper drugs like opiates. The chief character in this series, portrayed brilliantly by Bryan Cranston, was as evil a son-of-a-bitch as you'll ever see in films or TV serials.

For me, I like the Series "Bosch". Watched the first four Series, then took a break, and have picked it up again with Series 5, and then it will be Series 6 which will be the final one, I believe. Have to say there's some pretty 'salty' stuff in most of the serial episodes of "Bosch" as well!

The legendary, country singer Charley Pride has passed away aged 86. He died from Covid19 complications. He was the first black man to appear at the Grand Ole Opry since the 1920s, and had 52 top 10 country hits with an amazing 29 of those reaching Number 1. Charley was inducted into the Country Hall Of Fame in 2000. <rose>

I was just browsing on YouTube and came across this lovely song - I bet Cyc would like it. I would have posted it on the Arts thread but I can't find it.

    Anyways - onya Cyc <cheers>

A tragic young man. He was actually Michael Crawford's brother in law. I have his first LP, Five Leaves Left, which is full of haunting songs.

Oh, that's great that The Arts Thread has been found and re-introduced. Agree with the above comment, as this was one of the threads that Cyc contributed so much. To repeat, "onya Cyc" <cheers>

(P.S. Will have to re-start my contribution to the thread today with the usual miserable effort! <laugh>)
