"I really take this tournament seriously and I want [West Ham] to win it," said Gold. (speaking about the Europa)
Gold wants the Hammers to "worry" the big five Premier League clubs after moving from the Boleyn Ground to their new 54,000-capacity home next year. (Source: article on the BBC Football website)
This thread smacks of HIAG's fear that West Ham might do better than the Spuds in the Europey pot. At least you've identified your real rivals
Even somebody as dense as you must be beginning to realise that you're not going to finish above Arsenal (despite your prediction last season) This thread represents your real fear. That West Ham having closed the gap and begun a shift on Spurs, might actually catch you up this season and go further in the Europey pot.
If, as you believe, The Spammers are closing the gap on us, that means they're closing the gap on you too! As for The Europa, I'd rather not be in it at all.
Yeah right, if you're going to WUM, at least make it something that might just be vaguely believable!
PISKIE is dreadful, too, NSIS. You know when he feel he's lost an argument, because he always resorts to petty personal insults. Even though I am clearly far more intelligent and educated than he, nonetheless he always resorts to accusations of my being "stupid" or "dense" etc in the vain hope that it will upset me. That's the type of thing the really thick kids at school used to do.
To be honest, I was trying to be gentle on you by calling you dense. There are far more honest descriptions, but seeing as you're upset by being called dense, I shall refrain
No, they are closing the gap on Spurs, but Arsenal are widening the gap again between ourselves and Spurs. As for the Europey, I don't think it's done Spurs any favours. Your league form was terrible after Spursday night games and I think you'd do a lot better in the league not being in it.
Comedy Gold, literally. I too hope West Ham take it seriously and try to win it. The resulting relegation will be hilarious but they'll always have that victory over the might gsjdjdb FC.
Kind of like how the Champions League has done Arsenal no good. Its all rather embarrassing for London clubs, except Fulham, who are a rare ray of lightin an otherwise forgetful history in Europe for the capitals clubs.
Have you missed the past decade? Its certainly not helping you. Failure after hilarious failure both in the Champions League and the Premier League.
You've not answered my question. In what way has the champions league done Arsenal no good ? Do you think players like Ozil and Sanchez would have joined us if we were playing Europey football ? Do you think the millions in revenue from the CL has done us no good ? Or are you saying that Arsenal would have won the league without the distraction of the CL ? Be specific about what exactly you think has done Arsenal no good please ?
You may well have won the league without getting humiliated every year in Europe yes. I dont think Sanchez joined you for any other reason than Liverpool were the alternative. He certainly didnt join with a view to reaching the last 16 every season.
