We made an agreement, a transfer with Sunderland. For us, he is absolutely a Sunderland player.
Piero Ausilio, Inter Milan’s sporting director

I was led to believe this was always the case.
After the events of our season I realy hope we can some how wriggle out of the deal

I bet he feels great, both clubs arguing over who doesn't want him the most <laugh>

Not sure if it is or not because none of us got to see what he's capable of. what I did see is a player not worth that kind of money. What the feck were we thinking of if this deal was made?
Inter obviously don't want him anywhere near their squad next season, so hopefully by offering another loan deal they might reluctantly agree rather than facing the risk of being stuck with him.

We all that Coates was ****e.we all that Gomez was ****e. They were until Dick came in. I thought Alvarez looked better than both of them in flashes. With Dick being more attack minded he may get the same result with Ricky.

Having said that whoever agreed to this contract, assuming it's true, should be held accountable.

You never know but once Dick works on him he might just show us why he was at the World Cup this time last year. After all Dick did thevsamevwithe Coates.

They're clutching. I like the player, but if inter think they can force through a transfer for and injured player they're in cloud cuckoo land

The lad has got incredible ability, he just hasn't been fit to show it.

If we have to take him, focus on that.

Missed by many due to Gus playing the slow ****er out wide, forcing him to cut in every time not having the pace to beat his man on the outside. Most think he's predictable. Put him in the middle in front of a crowed box and see how predictable he is. Saying that, Defoe is the only striker intelligent enough to play off him imo.

One's enough thought mate, if we had in theory a fit Alvarez & Jacky with Defoe running in behind, well we'd be in far better shape. It is what it is, if we have to buy him we are buying a full Argentine international of a good age, players come out of injury prone periods, look at people like Gerrard, he was a crock

That's exactly it. JD, Ricky n Jacky. In an attack minded team they have the guile to create chances not only for themselves but also the team as a whole.

The one thing that concerns me just a little Funky is the silence from the SoL.

Why no comment from our side?

There never seems to be any comment from the SoL regarding anything.

Maybe it's case close as far as we're concerned? We've said we won't be making it permanent. Inter need to shut up, stop crying to the media and start legal action if the genuinely believe what they're saying, as this won't be resolved via a back and forth through the media. It's getting boring init.

Who am I to argue against you lads that have seen him in real life more than me. My opinions are based off the Net where he looked slow and a one trick pony trying to Recreate his Fulham goal by constantly cutting onto his left foot. And then they was his nightmare game against Villa where he was hauled off at half time.
Maybes he will be better as a number 10?
With Giacc coming back which will be like a new signing and the emergence of Watmore I'd rather spend 7.5m on more important areas personally.

Think we all would Tees mate, but if we've agreed the deal we may as well look at the possible upside.
