Lawrence has stopped the rot and has done well despite ot knowing what's going on at times.

New ball coming will skittle this lot.

Poor lad looks out of his depth

Decent Keeper, but not at the level for international with the bat

Yeah, hes gone out there scared witless and threw a bat at it first ball.

Nz just put it across him and invited the drive first ball then laughed as he walked off.

i used to think hussian and strauss were poor as they were getting out lbw. this lot are a whole other level of poor.

I would say that the NZ bowlers didn't need to even beat a player, just needed to leave the ball there and lets them get themselves out.

Looks decent bowling conditions todsy. Bit of cloud cover, muggy, should be good for swing. Hopefully can get up and past 300 then get into them early

if we get past 300 it'll be a amazing but then i thought 250 was impossible.

wood is a half decent blocker and anderson is too. they might be ok. i thought at times lawrence wasn't in control at all but he was the one who got away with some. i would expect Lawrence and broad to go quickly.

Done well to get back up to 300 after the collapse after lunch yesterday.

Lawrence did ok, wood blocked for a good score there for him. broad didn't last one over and ansderson got done lbw.

Yesterday there were a few early balls frankly lawnrence could have as easily got out off rather than got 4s so I think my critique is justified.

he's done well from there though so fair play to him.

300 is not even par so lets see how NZ do on this pitch.

As good as England Bowl, they don't create enough wicket chances.

Aside from the 2 wickets taken, theres been 1 drop and 1 not given catch. That's 4 clear chances in 73 overs

Stone hasn’t looked like getting a wicket and no decent spinner to give the data bowlers a rest while still applying pressure doesn’t help
