Could be but don't think they have the different climate they used to seem to have
You don't think London is different to Manchester?
I would imagine the idea is runs on the board and have the benefit of the kiwis batting last, both best bet for a test win as if it does become shortened by weather then a good first innings total is needed.
I don't think there's an awful lot of difference these days, maybe slightly warmer
Get through the new ball/first hour, then for this NZ bowling line up, its gonna be a long hard day...
So far so good...
24 for 0
You think you can come and derail all my threads and I'm not going to return the favour?
Edit: Although I am not exactly a cricket fan, I am always keent o know how England are getting on so I will be in and out of here anyway. Plus, I used to play a bit of cricket in my younger days
Its just not Cricket, well it is.. but!
Anyway, steady start.
Seen out the first hour, another 5-10 overs and the ball won't be doing anything, can start piling up the runs after that...
37 for 0 and the sun's out. Could be a very good call, but early days yet.
Playing for an hour and half yet only got 37 runs. This is why I can't watch cricket!
How about you shut the **** up then you phillistine!?!?
It's about building a bloody innings, foundations for the match. If it's a slow start then there is lot's of beer and Pimms on offer at Lords to keep one occupied.
So you like a long piss up, not cricket
I am deeply into both as it goes.
Roll on July 13th!!
It's only because you don't understand it
this is jsut taking the zip out of the ball, the only important thing right now is 0 wickets. as the ball ages then the score should come.
This is a 5 Day Test Match. Not a 20 over a side smash fest. It's the purest form of cricket and in my opinion, of sport on the planet.
It's just because you don't understand it
You going to OT?
