Grandson problems again this weekend so only just got my machine back. However Gat sums it up pretty well in a couple of words. They came for a point which was obvious from the kickoff and the time wasting was evident from the first few minutes. However, if only they had gone for it I am sure they would have gotten all three. I'm not sure they had a plan B when we played so badly so in some ways it was lucky for us. In the first half most of our lot just simply didn't turn up. They had just about the only chances in the half along with all of the corners. Fortunately they were pants at finishing and taking corners so we weren't troubled too much. Score at half time should have been at least 2 to them. I don't know what Sheridan said to them at half time but they came out exactly the same as when they went in. Total pants. It was the talk of the area I sit in that Argyle have one bad half and one better or good half so it was bound to be better in the second. Somebody forgot to tell them it was half two and they were supposed to improve because they didn't. In the whole of the 105 minutes of the match, due to a bad injurty to one of their's and a whole load of time wasting we had about 15 minutes of the game where we could have won it. We scored but for some bizaar reason the goal was chalked off. I have yet to see any reason for that as from where I sat there was nothing wrong with it. Nobody around me knew why. I've no doubt I'll read something somewhere that tells me. Had we won that game it would have been a travesty to them yet they didn't deserve to win it either in my opinion a draw was right. I always have to make a comment about officials it seems these days. The Ref was a disgrace once more and the lino on my side of the gound his unable assistant. What is it with these people. The standard is so poor it is almost laughable,
Okay BC i'll give it a go...i looked forward to the match thinking it would be 2 or 3 nil (to us) but unfortunately the matched obviously lacked goals, entertainment and did little to instill much confidence for the rest of the season. First half was woeful, lack of challenges all over the pitch and our midfield were absent for much of the play- seemed to be playing a 7-3 formation with a huge gap between defense and the attackers. ! Gillmartin got injured early in the second half and the introduction of Cole oddly improved things- he attacked every cross in our box and actually threw the ball out to our players rather than just lumping it aimlessly up the field - he also earnt us a point with an outstanding save from a free kick at the death. As far as others players were concerned, Berry had a shocker from start to finish (unusual for him) Charles looked good at left back(though was occasionally caught out of position), Reid did okay but missed the target when he should have scored and I remain unconvinced about Murray -the rest were indifferent. Luke young came on for the last 25 mins and played well- no idea why he didn't start, expect he will on Saturday. Positives- 1. a clean sheet and i suspect if Fletcher had been in charge we would have played better football and lost! 2. the bad injury to their player that resulted in 11 mins extra time might not be as bad as first suspected- apparently he has regained consciousness and is talking in Derriford hospital-well done to all the medical teams who reacted very quickly and showed a sense of urgency for once. Negatives 1.Poor football-real kick and rush with little end product, camped in our own half for long periods against an equally poor team 2. Looks like Bhasera may have played his last game for the club- he stayed on the pitch at the end for longer than usual and gave his match shirt away to someone in the devonport end. Intel suggests he may be off to Gillingham on Monday. A points a point I suppose but we need to be beating teams like this.
Oh , and the ref was rubbish as well- booked Blanchard early in the game for a good tackle which meant Blancahrd did very little for the rest of his time on the pitch for fear of a second yellow.
no idea- i was jumping up and down in celebration and was equally as bemused as everyone else around me- can only imagine the ref saw a foul in the box but i honestly didn't see anything wrong. The only odd thing was that none of the players seemed to protest too much, so presumably something happened...
I agree they didn't protest but all I saw was a cross and a header and the net ripple. I can't find any reference to it anywhere either official or unofficial so I'm totally bemused.
Well a dull uninspiring match by the write-ups....with Argyle more scared of losing than trying to win a much needed three points. John Sheridan has got his work cut out to try and build confidence in these players........at least they didn't lose....which happened more than not under Fletcher. The problem this season is that there isn't obviously two teams worse than Argyle in the league.....it is disappointing that we couldn't beat Accrington who have been in free fall in recent weeks.....early in the season they were in the top half dozen. Bristol R under their new manager seem to be showing signs of recovery and too many teams at the bottom have games in hand over us ....which is worrying. We still need a better striker than Reid.... and mid-field isn't working......I don't think Blanchard is happy playing there......our goalkeepers leave room for improvement...but I think we are stuck with them this season........maybe give Christian Walton a go ?
Joe.....Careful what you say about Andy.....Mrs LaLa's ears will prick up and she will home-in on any adverse comments.
watched the highlights and am none the wiser- can only imagine the ref saw a push before the header-seen them given!
The only reference was on pasoti. A theory rather than anything else. The lino flagged for a foul on PCH who went down rather easy after more or less losing the ball in the corner. The Ref appeared to give it reluctantly. The theory was that even before it was taken he was going to blow for some sort of infringement in the box and sure enough he did. Apart from that threory nothing else on offer.
I think you should moderator your language Mrs lalala. One post in a month and all you can do is swear at everyone. Are you drunk madam? Signed Truely shocked from Plymouth
