How has it come about that millionaires are playing a game in order to obtain things that don't exist eg points in another thing , the league table, that also does not exist. Even though they do exist , in reality they don't, if you see what I mean. In addition, people are wasting thousands of pounds (money, another abstract concept , that both does and does not exist watching this reality/unreality. Any thoughts?
it depends on what dimension you are referring to. a physical item like a clock may exist only because you see it but if another doesn't see it does that mean it doesn't exist?... or does it exist in differnet dimensions only visible to different people. better still... if a tree falls in a wood and no one hears it.... does it make a sound?
I kind of know what you mean. I also wonder why it is I get so preoccupied with Sunderland games even now I'm living 1000 miles away in France, when the result is, in practical terms, completely irrelevant to me while I'm so far away. I mean, they could not play at all, or they could play without me knowing, and it wouldn't make one iota of difference to my day to day life, yet it still has a massive influence on my weekend regardless. Mad when you think about it!
