Harsh pen against Korea
The Norwegian commentator who shouts at next to nothing, keeps repeating it was a definite penalty, but even after all the replays I see no contact. Wrong angles maybe. And it probably makes no difference.. Brasil showtime now

My son has South Korea in his works sweepstake. In a bizarre but inspired codicil to the rules he picks up a prize if they lose by the biggest margin in the tournament, so he wants Brazil to score 8.

South Korea choosing not to defend tonight might help him.

I used to love Brazil, not quite as much as the Cruyff era Netherlands, but the 1970 team, and the one with Zico , Falcao, Socrates etc, were great. Find it really hard to warm to more recent vintages.

Agree there's something unlikeable about them, maybe it's something to do with the egos of Neymar, Richarlison etc who just seem to play for themselves, although Vicinious does look some player.....

It’s the sense of entitlement. Souness and Keane spot on about the insanity of South Korea’s approach and the arrogance of the Brazilian ‘celebrations’. I hope they get their arses handed to them on a plate in the semi finals or final.

Croatia in QF's, winners of Netherlands/Argentina in Semi

Without that goalie it could easily be eight, as the Korean defence has given up, but at least their offensive team
is still trying hard to score.

Tell you what, South Korea have actually played well from the half way line onwards, it's just that they had a kamikaze style of defending, especially first half, but they've created a number of decent chances and are getting into some good positions.......

I like that England and France get an extra couple of days rest over the Brazilians and Croatians before they play their QF. Pretty odd scheduling, but no complaints from me.

….and having a nice long rest by the look of it.
