Was really exciting the back and forth in live group table standings as the two games progressed. For a brief moment when Costa Rica was 2-1 up they were into the round of 16 along with Japan. Hard to believe after their 7-0 loss to Spain.
 
Strikes me it would be easier to make the rule that if no part of the ball is physically touching the line it’s out of play, rather than this dodgy ‘a bit overhanging it when viewed from a certain angle when the moon is in its fourth quarter on a Thursday’ rubbish.
