Between the 10th and 13th of March 2015 the horse racing world will once again focus on the Cheltenham Festival, 4 days of thrilling competition in the natural amphitheatre that is Prestbury Park, at the foot of Cleeve Hill. Although final schedules have not yet been announced, the probable race schedule is listed below (will be updated as and when we know more) and, like last season, there will be a separate thread for each race (which anyone is welcome to start) hyper-linked from here. I'll also add in the typical threads - ante post bets, meet-up thread etc etc so this will grow into our definitive festival guide over the coming months. Good man oddy.will you be attending the festivel next year, didnt get a chance to sink some suds with you at this years meet.
Will be aiming for Tues and Weds again Ste -lets plan it properly this time around managed to meet up with Nass and stick last time but can't rely on mobile connections on the day - very dodgy in my experience, reception crap. We need a meet-up strategy this time around
"Between the 10th and 13th of March 2015 the horse racing world will once again focus on the Cheltenham Festival" Dont you mean between now and the 10th of March?
Phone coverage is terrible alright, they could do with sorting that out.must be hundreds of txts being sent in relation to tips etc not getting through.how pissed off would you be only getting a 20/1 tip that obliged ten o clock that night!
O'Faolaoins Boy (Gold Cup) and Forgotten Rules (Supreme novices) are huge prices on betfair just wondering if anyone knows why? Are they injured / unlikely runners maybe? Seems way off pricewise. thanks.
O'Faolaoins Boy is out for the season. Unfortunately, injured. After his win at Ascot on ‘Champion Day’ you can guarantee that Forgotten Rules won’t be going anywhere near a hurdle for a very long time. If ever. Is being aimed at The Gold Cup.
Im going for the first time on the Thursday & Friday and staying in a hotel in Upton St Leonards(12 miles away). Anyone ever stayed here and know of decent transport to get to and from the racecourse? If there is no public available a taxi is only £20 but that is potentially £80 in total that could be better spent on the horses instead
Does anyone know when the bookies start NRNB for the rest of the festival races? I know most of them are doing just the Championship races at the mo. Cheers.
If anyone wants to start a thread for any of the races above which don't yet have one, then feel free and I will hyperlink it to this index. I'm sure Toppy would love to do one on the mares hurdle for example, and maybe Sir Barney could do the Pertemps Final - "guaranteed plot-free"
