Most posters on here play X-Box games etc. But what was the first game you ever played and on what console and in which format? Mine was Flimbos Quest on Amiga. please log in to view this image
Wonder Boy was one of the first Sega Meadrive I think.. Playing MW3 at the moment, ****in' great other than the fact that I can't turn the silly music off.
Original mario on the NES after playing the arcade version. Parents bought me it one christmas, must have been 18 or 19 year ago. I was the talk of our year at school, and now i feel old.
River Raid on this little beauty - I think it's still in the loft somewhere! please log in to view this image
Was the atari also but i cant recall if it looked like that one, was there different versions??? As for the games on it, needless to say i cant recall but i believe pacman was one of those that was available.
Actually our kid had the intellivision before that, and i loved utopia. Class game, shown here if you skip 2 mins in.
Im still hoping to come across a Super Nes in decent condition just so i have relive playing Super Mario Kart.Obviously the SNES is nowhere near as old as the atari but that was an amazing game !Shame i cant find a retro pack for the ps3
You can download an emulator and play old SNES games on your computer - I've got the original 'Zelda' and 'Goldeneye' on my Mac!! http://www.emulator-zone.com/
I've only ever played on them in the alehouse I used to like Defend Cities and the hunchback one, whatever it was called.
err Hunchback! I started on the ZX81 - typing in games from magazines. They were AWESOME games back then!* Skyrim?! PAH! I have played my way through every generation since and just love video games. *not actually true
The first computer i had was a commodore 64 and the first game i had was either Flimbos quest like the Op or this fiendish Freddy's big top o fun. They don't make them like this anymore.
Sensible world of soccer was better. You could play as any team in the world. The scary thing is, is that if you have the game you can still get team updates for it
SWOS is in my top 5 of all time great games - I was an active forum member during the XBLA ressurection of SWOS and was invited down to London for the presser - great day! It's a shame they couldn't get the net code to work properly on XBLA. I met Jon Hare once (creator) and asked him why it was so **** - he just shrugged and smiled and basically said it wouldn't get fixed as there is not enough money in it to release patches etc I still have SWOS on Amiga and play it every year or so - such a great game!
