Some old faves here, and some Ive never heard of. http://www.footballfancast.com/2012...ains-in-europe-to-tempt-premier-league-bosses
Ha, Farfan & Vargas are fantastic players mate. I've been hearing some stuff about Luke De Jong tonight, can't see it, but we are DEFINITELY in the mix.
Hope so mate,be good to get rid of the deadwood, and bring in some real talent. And MoN has a good history in this department.
About twelve years ago I worked in Dresden, my favourite city, and a German mate of mine opened a club in Wolfsburg, went to the opening night, and ending up staying for the week end. Absolutely brilliant, a good gig round every corner. well reccomended.
I've heard it's a canny joint Bill. Don't VW employ about 70% of the town or summat mad like that!? Guess they are all pretty relaxed and feel safe in their world!
Before VW. Wolfsburg was nothing, but if not for the British army promoting and helping vw, things would be so much different today. but the whole place runs around VW, housing, shops, everything. to get the workforce, VW brought in shedfuls of Turks, just like London did with Jamacans to drive our busses. now you can watch as many Turkish games in their own clubs as you like, always been welcomed by them, great football knowledge, down side a lot are teetotal, but they always find a beer for me.
Sad but true, but as I said, they always got me a drink, although they didnt imbibe themselves. Nice folks.
Funnily enough Bill, Turks get a bad press, but the ones I've happened across have generally been sound. Proper fanny-rats mind!
Absolutely cock happy, never found the birds to be the same though. and as you say, Ive never found them anything but helpful, and as a guest you are god to them.
What have you heard pal? Also with us being linked with Arouna Kone what are your thoughts on him? Had a gd season ain't he
One of the lads I play with, he said he's definitely coming to England, and that it's common knowledge in Holland that we (amongst several others) have had him watched, repeatedly. He reckons the Toon were very close in January, before the Cisse deal opened up. Twente missed Europe, so he is gone, that is certain. Kone i'm dubious of mate, scored a few in a surprise package side, and done well, but my fear is the previous, £12million to Sevilla couldn't perform. Could go either way if we did move, as linked.
