Tbh I don't know why we aren't just going and spending what we like and take the 4-8 point penalty and just make a mockery of these rules. There are precedents set with Everton and Forest now so they can't just deduct us 20 points say - it would need to be in keeping with the previous punishments. Heard the other day if you admit the case early and are seen to be helping and open during the investigation you gain credit (and therefore points back) for your co-operation with any investigation.

 

Think you'd be mistaken. Everton owned up to their mistakes and were actively working with the PL and Forest fell foul over a last minute deal over Johnson.

They would love to set the precedent with a club like ours deliberately seeking it to break the rules

Are you of the opinion that we are still breaking PSR limits then? Doesn't seem likely as we passed the last one and since then one high spending year has dropped off and we have added a profitable year (thanks to selling Andersen and Minteh).

Perhaps we are still in trouble due to moving of the goalposts with the newer rules that they are testing currently.

 

I get the impression they are going to breach if they don't sell this window or early in the summer.

It appears others are foolishly assuming selling players now is all about putting money in a kitty...a kitty simply doesn't exist.

Selling now simply avoids the panic and reduces the likelihood or possibly the inevitably of selling one of their crown jewels.

This is my assessment anyway.
