Transfer Rumours Thauvin to Barca... oh my....

Was literally shaking my head when I saw this... the fact that the journo refers to him as 'England International' kinda tells it's own story for me.....

Whilst he is Barca's type of player in style... he's nowhere near there standard and needs to start producing the goods if he ever aspires to a move to a bigger club.

Newcastle winger Florian Thauvin could be set to join Arda Turan at Barcelona according to Mundo Deportivo.

The report claims that Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernandez has included Thauvin on the transfer shortlist and that the Champions League title holders could make a move for the England international in January.

Barcelona are looking to strengthen the squad for the second half of the season following injury to Rafinha who could be out for the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury.

Thauvin did however, only join the Magpies over the summer transfer window for a £12.85 million transfer fee and still has another five-years left on his contract.
