Shocking defending and obviously a slower pace than the Prem, but it was the movement combined with sympathetic passing that was key.
They did look very good, but in turn Blackburn look very pedestrian for all the goals. Hopefully Loza can get some game time at Orient this season and maybe a full season on loan in the championship next season, he has been scoring consistently for the u21s/development team
The second goal was nice, long diagonal ball from Josh to Jacob, Loza's neat turn in the box and a good finish
Anyone know why Loza wasn't involved in the FA Youth Cup winning side last season? I went to the final and was looking forward to seeing him but he wasn't even in the squad
injured. did you know that loza was released along with a number of other promising youngsters by paul lambert, a few weeks before he quit the club. two of these were brought back by hughton, loza being one (can't recall which the other was)?
no idea, but if it wasn't that then he made a mistake letting him go! just scratching through my memory, i think the reason loza didn't play in the youth side that won the cup was because he wasn't actually a part of the youth setup (as he'd been released and resigned) and therefore wasn't eligible as he was classified as 'over age', even though he wasn't. or something weird like that! could be wrong...
Meanwhile, u18s are defending their Cup against Watford on Saturday: http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/10954286._/? Tickets are £3 according to that piece. I might pop along.
