A solid performance indeed. Credit for this must go to Murphy (that was a real Captain's performance) and Etuhu for holding the midfield. The back four were rock solid - Hangeland immense.

The other lot - well, tremendous; kept looking for each other; played direct football and an intelligent passing game. As always difficult to pick one out - Ruiz apart from his goal showed such awareness; AJ best running game in many a day; Dembele was just Dembele as only can be and so strong on the ball. However forced to chose, my MOTM was Dempsey. Superb goal to settle everyone and exquisite passing.

But the most pleasing thing was that we played as a team. We held our shape, helped each other and kept up a decent tempo.

Can't close without applauding Stockdale - sharp and kept his concentration. Welcome back.

Well done lads. Don't give Man U too much respect on Wednesday - play your own game.

You pipped me to it 58,

Sounds like a really impressive win and so needed after the disappointment of Wednesday. How did AJ play today ?

Great to have Stockdale back, looking forward to seeing how he settles back in.

Dempsey and AJ both worked hard today. I was impressed with the number of times Dembele tracked back, tackled and came away with the ball. Obviously Ruiz did well in the first half, making one and scoring one, but I would have taken him off after 60 minutes to give us a bit more width.

Overall, job done (albeit against a poor team with little creative midfield)! Roll on ManU on Wednesday.

AJ was great today. Worked so hard and run the defenders multiple times. Generally a good performance and a well deserved win!

Murphy played well in the first half but was showing signs of tiredness in the second. But true captain.

Ruiz scored a nice goal, Dempsey played well and chased the ball. Dembele is getting a driving force. Etuhu was very good and solid.

All defenders up to the job!

Word for Senderos. Another top class performance. When he plays we always look so assured.

FFC4L good point on Sendeos. The partnership between him and Hangeland is getting better. Although some times he gets me on the edge of my seat he is good. He can see forward, good passing and is holding the line well.

Will be interesting to see him against utd.

If you look at the performances, Hangeland has been looking like the more error prone of the two (Not saying he is putting in poor performances, but I think Senderos is currently in better form).

Watched MOTD (recorded) and have to say that the 2 Fulham goals were really well-converted by Dempsey and Ruiz . At the ground, they both looked looked good from may far-away seat, but the TV made both look great!

The Ruiz goal looked like he had fluffed it, I thought it was going over the bar but the ball seemed to dip an awful lot in the air for it to go under the bar. Top class goal especially under pressure from the defender and goalkeeper.

Bandit, was exactly the shame... Was about to shout something but the ball dipped nicely and it was all cheers thereafter!

A good performance against utd now!
