Adidas just like Alpha Romeos, beautiful but seldom seen running. Remember Adidas - Stan Smith, Gola, Hummel, Levi's made hi-tops and there was a brand called 'Made in England', went down well in 70's Swansea as you can imagine. Even then there was trainer snobbery with Nike considered cool and Adidas uncool and reserved for rich kids whose Mum bought all their clothes. My favorites, Chuck Taylors'. Lasted a couple of months before the sole started to fall off or the canvas began to rot (and stink) or the eyes for the laces became frayed but at £4.50, I could save pocket money and get a new pair every six months or so. Until they shot up to £10 late 70's
Its always about the girth Valley. In tests 99 girls out of 100 prefer thick ones to thin ones. I think they were talking about feet
I never pay more than £15 for trainers for myself, I once paid £80 for my Daughters......never again ...what a waste of money that was.....
For me, Adidas has always been king. They simply look better than the rest. If you owned a pair of Adidas Kick in my school then you were cool. Nobody bothered with Nike as they were seen as newcomers and pretenders to the crown. I'm glad to see a return to the original Adidas logo that is making a comeback at the moment. I hope the next Swans kit has that logo as opposed to the one we have now. The current one has the three stripes in the triangle formation - the old one has the flower/3 petals type of thang....
