We aint won nothing yet and there will be a few more manager rare ups before this season is out! But the man said he was a 'winner' and now I do believe him , talk is cheap..!!! "Show me a good loser and I will show you a loser" someone once said, very true!
Too true Show me a supporter that is steady when the boat rocks a little - and there is half the Bristol City support The rest are looking uncomfortable sat on that fence with a few paranoids thrown in for good measure
It is all about confidence, that wonderful quality if you have it and poison if you don't. For the first season in many years, we have a squad of players who are not tainted by the misery of the last five years. A squad who are able to take a defeat without collapsing into a continuing run of them. Unfortunately, the supporters are still very much aware of the way that City used to capitulate and it will take a while longer for the great majority of us to banish the dark thoughts that became the norm for so long. So thanks to the squad and management team for helping us to believe that we can, rather than we cannot. Here's to the title at the end of the season!
A good win - away - against a team that is sniffing around th play-offs, but as Banksy said; we aint won anything yet. That's not negativity - I'm not angry - far from it - I'm delighted with our current position. No, its reality - like being 1-0 up in a knockout game but with 20 minutes still to play. Good - but still time for it to go wrong. We could still end up losing at Wembley and falling away into the playoffs just like Swindon. Obviously Cotts and the players will be very aware of this and I trust them to do their very best not to let that happen. Our destiny is in our own hands and we will have nobody to blame but ourselves if we let it slip now.
Sounds like we dug in well tonight, and judging by the bitter Doncaster fans on their fan forum and social medias we played, and beat them at their own game.
