....because Football defeated Anti-Football. Paul Clement deserves the biggest bollacking of his football career for that. We have come full circle from the Mike Laudrup glory days.
Today at only 5mins into the game was the 1st time I'm starting to get convinced that Clement as a coach hasn't got a clue offensively, or is just to stubborn to let go of the strangling tactics he's inflicting on our team. We are desperately clueless as an attacking unit & this is the first occasion that I don't think he's got the 'tools' to arrest it...
Admittedly, there were dark days, but there were also some glory days - the League Cup run & victory?
We need a proper manager, Someone who is not a yes man......A manager who can install some confidence and passion and well organized with what they should be doing.....I saw none of that and that goes for every game we have played so far, Everyone is doing their own thing with very little team work and if you dont play as a team then you will rarely win....The passing was very poor and if you cant get that right then you will always give the ball away. Clement needs to stop talking rubbish making out its not his fault and bring back Curtis to show him what the Swansea way is all about that if you keep the ball the opposition cant score.....
No I'm serious ...I want Curtis back in first team preparation ......I believe we are missing a lot of what we were very good at a few seasons back and Curtis can install that....
What we need and what we get are two very different things. The board won't appoint anyone they can't fully control. The last person we had that wanted to do things his own way was Laudrup, and he got the chop for it. Since then we've had Monk, Guido and Clem. All puppets of the board.
The summer transfers were a disgrace but not one who has come in has the experience to sand up to Clement any problems. I expect Fernandez and Fabianski to be the next out of the club as they are most likely to to get in his face. It was a mistake sacking Guidolin. Last season we got lucky when Clement was forced to bring back old guard players, had injuries not forced his hand he would have kept going with the same team and tactics as he seems to be doing now. As with Monk and Bradley we can see when change is needed. Lose another manager? If we don't we will be a laughing stock.
