As we're about to enter 'Silly Season' transfer speculation is rife, with most of it not being realised. One bit of business however, has been realised. And that's the return of Mr Mourinho! I, like most Chelsea fans, am ecstatic at the Special One's return. As long as he and the board get along professionally then we are in for a treat! He has stated that he wants to bring stability to the club and I honestly believe that that is also the vision of the board, time will tell! Mourinho has also stated that he wants to develop our young squad. Whilst I cant envisage wholesale changes, I can see 2/3 out and 2/3 in. What I'm more interested in is which of our current crop of youth will he see as first team material an incorporate into the squad. And which ones will be sent out on loan. Here's how I would like to see our squad look next season. This is based on who I think would be our strongest, however (using Courtois as an example) there are players included that may benefit from another year on loan. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts... GK Cech Courtois Turnbull Defenders Azpilicueta Ivanovic Terry Cahill Luiz *Varne/Mangala Cole Bertrand Midfield Mikel Lampard Chalobah Romeu Ake Essien Hazard Mata Oscar Ramires *Schurrle Moses/Marin (I think one will go) Forwards Torres Lukaku (Think he could turn into a beast for us under Jose......) *Dzeko/Jovetic/Cavani *Signings based on who we have been linked with, If Cavani comes in then I can't see Torres staying. It would be difficult to see what our starting XI would be with this squad but assuming all were fit and we had Man Utd for the first game, I'd go with; Cech Azpilicueta Terry Cahill Cole Luiz Lampard Hazard Mata Schurrle Lukaku Very Hypothetical at this stage. Jose may revert to a 433 or 442 which IMO wouldn't need a great deal of different personnel. But there is a lot of quality already in our squad, with one or two good additions and the belief that Jose will instil we should be ok going forward. What do you guys think?
