A goal scored deep in added-time
To turn the game right on its head,
There is nothing that´s more sublime
    Nor anything I´d want instead

I had wondered if that lost art
    From our roaring Championship days,
Would ever again play a part
Up in the Premier League airways

    But something with Everton blue
Does seem to stoke up in our fire,
    Whenever they hove into view
We keep going right to the wire

And true to form today we showed
    Again, a real never-say die,
Will to win, and were unbowed
Despite them leading in the tie

    And what impact Kamara K
Made when he appeared on the scene,
    Instrumental with every foray
He made, he inspired the team

But everyone there did their bit
Even when things did seem quite tense,
    And Everton threatened to hit
    Bassong and Turner were immense

But one thing that pleased me the most
Apart from the 2 - 1 of course,
Is that we once again can toast
A goal from our old ´Captain Horse´. OTBC

This is much more than ´just´ 3 points

    Have a great week all,

    Yours

Hi RBF, I said on your other thread that I was hopeful of a win! Never in a million years could I have envisaged such an ending. As for David Moyes complaining that the ref should have blown before Holty's winner, just like to say, "You play to the whistle!"

David Moyes has often been linked as a successor to Alex Ferguson and with the moaning about extra time and a face like a slapped arse he's well on his way.

Excellent Poetry RBF. I'm having a drink to calm me nerves...

<cheers> Beef, no drink necessary here, (although I´ll probably have one or three), my nerves are just fine. :)
