I think I was there and couldn't believe my eyes as I watched Brabin's flying acrobatic grace. Much better than Ronaldo's effort. And arguably more significant.

I remember him playing against us (for Torquay?) and getting sent off in front of Kempton for hacking at Julian Johnsson - a few of the younger element surged forward to 'vent their anger' at him before stopping dead in their tracks as he turned to face 'em down. It was funnier than it reads ........ really!

 

What's so special about Ronaldo's? It's obviously a good goal, but it's a bicycle kick just like any bicycle kick, and not all that far out.

Apparently this is the best goal ever scored? Is that just because Ronaldo scored it?

Next week if Messi scores an identical one, the exact same stuff will come up.

 

Mandzukic scored a better one in the Champions League final just last season against Real Madrid.

Ibra scored a better one vs England.

Pele against the Nazis is near perfection.

As previously mentioned, Trevor Sinclair's is the pinnacle imo.

 

Great goal , but the defender bottled it . Had he put his head in then Ronaldo would have made contact .Would be dangerous play and a free kick to Juventus .

 

Fully agree , as he's just outside the box and had to pull the ball back from a position closer to the ground .

 

BBC touting it as 'the best goal you'll ever see'. So we're all going to stop watching football now are we? Load of old rot. Great goal, just like many others, end of.

 

See I think the goal has shown how much people hate Ronaldo, so much rubbish has been said about him on Twitter and other social media sites.

Yes we get it you prefer Messi and he is amazing, doesn't mean you can't appreciate Ronaldo's greatness.

An absolutely unbelievable goal, as where all the other one's mentioned (Sinclair, Zidane, Pele etc...) just because there are other great goals doesn't mean you should belittle this one.

 

I reckon Ibrahimovic's goal against England was the best I've seen. Mark Hughes scored a good one in the 80's for Wales v Spain

It's just a bit confusing how this is being called the best ever. Bicycle kicks although obviously impressive aren't as rare as people are making out since last night. Even Diomande scored one at one point.

It's not unique like that Ibra one where he's done it from 40 yards out, it's just another very good bicycle kick goal.

 

Here's me thinking that all goals are good ones if you win, even own goals.

 

Yeah Diomandes was better than Ronaldos and a included a great assist from Abel.
