BRISTOL.
Anybody who knows me knows that I'm an honest bloke,
a man of integrity. I say it straight and I know that
everyone respects that.
I've had huge success as a manager, and I turned down
big offers to come to Rovers. I've given all the players
who were here the chance to prove themselves to me.
I can't help it if every one of them was rubbish.
I have not given jobs 'to the boys'. OK, I met two blokes
on holiday in Spain and made them goalkeeping coach
and youth team coach, but that's just coincidence.
Yes, I was at Exeter, Wycombe and Torquay and most of
my signings come from Exeter, Wycombe and Torquay, but
that's just another coincidence. As I said, I'm a man of
honesty and integrity.
As a man of honesty and integrity I have treated Stuart Campbell
with honesty and integrity. I can't help it if he doesn't believe a word I say.
I don't make excuses. We've had poor pitches, injuries, poor atmosphere;
but I won't mention that as you would think I was making excuses; and
everyone who has worked with me knows I'm a man of honesty and integrity
and I don't make excuses; even when we are still gelling, you won't
hear me use that as an excuse.
Now what was the question?

'I don't make excuses. We've had poor pitches, injuries, poor atmosphere;
but I won't mention that as you would think I was making excuses...'

He has already made the statement about what he won't mention but why repeat excuses twice in one breath,sorry but he's a gobby get.....
