Oh how I'd love to see us score one like that against the Tims. It would be enough to push them over the edge. On a serious note I don't think the goal should have stood - that Nani's a cheatin wee bastard. And when the referee consulted the linesman I noticed that Ferdinand was there putting his tuppence worth in..... where the **** was the Spurs captain?
Just watched it 3 times, can't see no free kick being given to Spurs or the keeper bounce the ball twice to get Nani out of the box - technically can't see a reason why it should not stand going by the laws of the game?
How did the officials miss Nani stopping the ball with his hand when he was on the ground ? Should def have been a free kick, but , as you say Mick, by the laws of the game the goal should stand. The Man u players were alert and spotted no whistle, so still in play. But , not in the "spirit of the game" . Then again who gives a **** about that now
I think we tend to greet about things which were genuinely unfair. Managing to go 5 Old Firm games in a row with seriously controversial decisions against us doesn't help this paranoia issue we have. Personally I think it was just bad ref decisions which were not bias, just bad - and we got quite unlucky with quite a few of them in a row going against us. Doesn't mean to say I don't get to complain about it though.
