You went where and when you wanted, back to Leicester. But you left us with a far better squad than you found us with. Our(your?) defence is excellent. We may need a striker (especially if Brady goes back to Man U in January). But, with Cam Stewart back, we have some more options available. Cheers, Nigel! UTT NBBA
I agree with this, Pearson did a great job for us. Wouldn't have him back though, he's made his bed and can lie in it now, Leicester won't go up this season and it will be curtains for him there.
Agreed. Some people tend to forget that NP left the club in a better situation than it was when he arrived.
I also agree, he has left us with a good platform for NB to work with. Let's hope with a couple of addition in January we can push on for a top 6 finish.
I think some people need to get over the old manager. He's gone now, he's history. Not to mention the fact that he was **** anyway. We'd have zero chance of getting promoted if he was still here.
Lets see if people have the same opinion of Judas Pearson when he comes calling in January to try and turn the heads of our best players.
I'd hazard that most of us have 'got over the old manager' now. But, honestly, I don't think you have, my child. You are still feeding your resentment - of NP, AP and, I'd guess, NB (as soon as we lose).
It's because of NP that we had the squad that played yesterday, he desreves credit for getting this club back on its feet. He left the club in a far better state than when he arrived, and it's a shame his good work here will be tainted by the manner of his exit. Whether he'd have taken us up we'll never know, but now it's a case of thanks Nige but you've made your choice to go to Leicester, we're perfectly fine here without you. Barmby's the man in charge now and he should receive our support.
To be honest, I find it hard to understand why a side with such high expectations of promotion as Leicester would go for a '****' manager. Not the most attractive style of football i grant you but he gets results, i'm not gonna say he's a **** manager because he walked out on us. Whether he'd have taken us up we'll never know, the signs were there though of a promotion push hence people's disappointment he left when things were going as they were. But as they say there's no point crying over spilt milk, i'm a hull city fan and will back the man who is in charge, which is now Nick Barmby.
never had a problem with how NP conducted his biz at City , Right up until the West ham game all seemed pretty straightforward. Have you listened to his thoughts on the fans in the interview with d burns on RH? My only gripe is his hypocritical comments and not much else TBH. He's gone now , he is history and will be quickly forgotten as a tiger
He never really was a Tiger, that was the main problem really. He did a fantastic job whilst with us and, as has been said, left us in far better shape than he found us (albeit with a little bit of help from Messrs Allam and Pearson), however I don't remember once seeing him at City wearing the broad grin he had on his chops at Leicester's press conference. I felt he never really forged a relationship with the fans and didn't even try to, and as a result probably didn't receive the respect his achievements deserved. Nicky will be different in that respect at least.
I think he left us in a far better place than when he found us, so for that I'm grateful. Though I do find myself hoping he loses 10-0 today, is burgled during the game and gets sacked tomorrow.
Well - I, for one, will be following the 3 o'clock game today, to see what happens. And I'd reckon quite a few City fans will be checking too...
I hope he chokes on his half-time orange haha, he did a great salvage job for us and hopefully Nicky is going to build on that. Its funny seeing TWF say get over Pearson on this board when he clearly hasnt gotten over Tangoman and Duffpants
