4-0 is the latest score to Wigan v Newcastle. Didn't see that coming so a big thanks to them. Now over to our boys to make a complete mess of an golden opportunity handed on a plate to take back 4th.
Hmm, I agree the Newcastle result might well be a confidence boost, but we still would have had to do the same tomorrow regardless. I anticipate a rubbish 1-1 draw tomorrow anyway.
Yep, well played Wigan. they deserve to stay up. Here's hoping Qpr can get a point or three at the Bridge tomorrow.
Yup, sadly I think that'll be the score too. And it wouldn't surprise me if Blackburn score first and we scrape a draw.
I hope you're right. Just recent performances, unrest in the camp and the usual media circus surrounding our club makes me think it won't be that simple. That said.... COYS!!!
With our lot playing in their rightful positions and a degree of assertiveness on our part. We can only will. My guess is 3-1 but thats not allowing for the Harry factor, in which case anything could happen tomorrow. I will remain optimitic and hope there are no howlers on tomorrows team sheet or no fancy over-done tactics on display. COYS.
Seriously, what happened? Was it one of those games where the expectation weighed down the players when it was time to deliver, as happened to us at the Emirates a few weeks ago, or did the early goals wreck your strategy for the first half and you lost the momentum?
Pards said it to a Tee, we just couldn't match their first half intensity, Shawn Maloney put ball after ball in our box and we just didn't do too well with the constant bombardment of long balls and set piece delivery's.
A certain tabloid has decided that Brendan Rodgers isn't the flavour of the month, instead it's Roberto Martinez. Yup, it's the latest round of being told who will be replacing 'Arry, which I'm sure is what Daniel Levy is basing his entire managerial search on...
As a person, Martinez appears to be a class act, but as a manager capable of providing both stability and growth to our club???? He obviously has heaps of experience now of the PL - but unfortunately it's been years of staving off relegation with limited resources. Despite that, something says that he wouldn't be the worst option.
Blackburn are gash but so are we. Blackburn are still scoring goals - we aren't anymore. 2-0 Blackburn for me.
Today, against Blackburn, we will see how much fight this team has left in it. Ordinarily, I'd predict an easy win for us. But, with the way we are playing, and the fact that all composure and spirit seems to have fled the squad, and with Harry dreaming of leading Terry, Fat Frank, Heskey, and Rooney to Euro glory, I can't see beyond a draw. And that won't be good enough.
