We have so many diverse threads about Sam leaving I just wanted to at least express my appreciation of what Sam has done in his time here since he is leaving us in a massively better different shape than when he came.
Lovely sentiment but he came to us in the midst of a relegation battle and as it stands we're about to enter another. I reckon another 12 months with him in charge would have left us in an immeasurably better position in terms of personnel and finances but it looks like it just isn't to be. Fingers crossed we get Everton Moyes, not Moyes of recent years.
Gutting we didn't have him longer. But yep, did a lot in his short time. Hope the timing of this doesn't undo it all
He kept us up, just same as the previous lots did. But he did bring in the Ks. So may have left his replacement with some better quality players to be getting on with and hopefully a more solid base to build on. Probably my memory of him will be he kept us up and relegated the mags. So for that a big and a huge
Just tweeted similar - The bloke has done wonders for our club and I'm absoolutely gutted he's going. But we can do nothing except wish him luck in what is, without a doubt, his dream job. Good luck Sam Allardyce. With any luck you'll give the FA a kick up the arse that they need and I'll start taking an interest in England again
I'm still bitter about the way he went on last night, tbh. If that's what he thinks of us, then he can go and get ****ed.
At the game against Hartlepool, he sat on his phone most of the first half and then ****ed off from the game after about 70mins, without saying goodbye to anybody.
I'm glad someone's done this, I agree with what Comm says 'so did the rest of them' keep us up, but Sam brought genuine belief, hope and it seems from the players, he put a smile back on the club. Moyes comes into a place in good shape, and I'm sure will carry on the good work.
I was never a big fan of his but i still think there is a basis of a decent team there. Thats why im not quite as upset as most. Moyes will hopefully add to and freshen it up even more.
Aye he was. Then he went to City then came here - he's never looked back - only at his mortgage free life with flash cars!! Sorry - I hope Moyes can make something out of him! Really do as I have seen glimpses (albeit 10 minute ones) of him looking a good player - then he reverts to type!!
I dont think weve got too much to thank him for. Hes only been doing his job that weve been paying him very handsomely to do. He done a good job so its a win win situation for both club and manager. His spell at Sunderland probably clinched the England job for him aswell so we owe him nothing!
