I think our board deserve credit for taking decisive action after last season's disappointment.

I reckon they've appointed a good manager this time. They have backed him in signing more players than I can ever remember in a pre season and in getting his back room sorted out.

And we have a credible plan for a new stadium which will benefit the local community.

It looks as though we'll have an exciting season for all the right reasons. Hopefully the crowds will return and we'll be able to sustain a challenge not only this season but next season in League One too.

I think the board reacted just the right way to last season's disappointments.

    So well done guys!

In essence I agree with you Gastro, especially as regards the plans and strategy for the new stadium, which I think are superb.
I was talking with a councillor at the Mangotsfield game (gawd, I hope he doesn't read this) who said that the problems would
be at the Mewmorial Stadium end of things, particularly as regards access. Alton Road may provide an answer, as the club
    has bought some properties there.
As regards the team the board has been good, but I suspect there's an element of blind panic. I honestly think they never
thought that we would really go down!

We`re all quick to slate the board when things are going badly and they have bloody well deserved the flak over the years but wether it`s a panic knee jerk reaction as suggested by Pirate or not there`s no doubting the current willingness to put things right. I think we were all expecting a new manager and all hoped for a big clearout but can any Gashead honestly say they expected the total dismantling of the old guard and practically a completely new team? Personally I very impressed with what`s been taking shape over the last few weeks and despite starting the new age in League 2 I am looking forward to the new season with more optimism than I`ve had for years. The new stadium anouncement was a most welcome bolt out of the blue. I`m sure there will be a few highs and lows as always but overall my faith in the Board has been restored.

I share your enthusiasm YOBG. THere's certainly a buzz around the place and the squad looked happy and at ease with one another at Mangotsfield and Bath.
There's good passing and running off the ball. Anyinsah looked powerful and took his goal well. Encouraging to read today what Buckle said about wanting regular reserve games.
It's looking good so far !!!
