You lot have been very gracious about losing a man who appears to be very popular with the supporters. I raise a glass and doff my cap to you. All the best with your own new man, but not too much luck.
Thanks for that, we are all accustomed to loosing key personnel its just how they go that punches us un the gut. If he had come out and been honest saying he would be open to any offer from clubs like yourself then we would be ok, its the lack of communication and the secrecy when we gave him his break and he would be no-where with out WFC. Well to pastures new we go and i look forward to 2 great matches against yourselves next season.
From Twitter, wish i'd said it! "Tbf, we only gave Mackay a fantastic end to his playing career, including a promotion and another year in the Prem, an immediate coaching role and then the managerial role when he had zero experience, so you can understand why he's not felt inclined to 'do a Martinez'."
err.. Didn't Martinez walk out on Swansea? I think he did - he just stayed where he is now because it suits him rather than because of some high moral value. tbh My point of view on all these things is that people are entitled to have ambition and improve themselves and keep their families. Malky kept quiet didn't make any silly statments like other people and so dealt with the matter proffesionaly without coming out in the media which I think is the right way to go about it.
Actually rationalising things my bad feeling at the moment shouldnt be for Malky but for his agent, I'd like to try and believe he hadnt talked until allowed to by the club but it was some oily leech who was working the machinations... I'll try and convince myself.
What about that Luke bloke, who has Malky down as Mid Table - worse than Dave Jones. Has he cheered up yet?
Elixir - I can top that. We actually had people on a live text thread (thankfully not on this site) saying that they can't trust him now because due to the press conference starting late, he's "clearly unreliable" You just couldn't make it up. I was impressed with the club interview he gave after the media circus had left as I think most fans will be. A few good early results and everyone will be on board as usual. Ok, I'm sure you guys don't want to hear this and I can't get involved in whats happening there so once again, I'll wish you all the best. KTF Hornets.
