just sittin watching the oldham vs chesterfield game, thinking us safc fans have had our bad times but christ i am thankful for what we have. those poor buggers are watching players most of which i aint heard of in the freezin cold in a shed of a ground in the second leg of the johnstons paint trophy, hats off to them they are all singing and cheering but how bloody depressing is the thought of your next game being against some other team such as .... well i wont mention any names out of respect. Next time we have a bad game il be thinking how lucky we are to be watching the team i love playing a great stadium in the best league in the world.
Nice one, maybe you have seen the light, A good pal of mine is an Oldham fan, and when he`s back in UK never misses a game, he will have watched tonight on his laptop, dont know the score, will check it out later, but for him I hope they got three points, Paul Scholes is a big fan of Oldham [ his home town ] I always thought he`d play a few games for them after he retired.
I used to watch Blyth Spartans regular, coldest i have ever been at a match was some cup game, on a Tuesday night, 0-0 went to extra time, was freezing everything off it was that cold and about 30 people there at the end (there wasnt that many more at the start lol) but i wouldnt change it for the world, it was great, went to the Spartan club after and had a lock-in till 4am, cant see that happening at Sunderland (if it had a club in the grounds). Must be 20 years ago now, but Bovril then pissed as a fart till 4am, did me back then, and im sure it does other fans, you watch what you can, when you can.
Old 3rd division rain and sleet coming horizontally into the Fulwell end watching utter ****e through squinted eyes on the pitch. Said it before the only things we had to cheer was effort. Lack of effort was rightly booed, imho. Still had great times and never thought of not going to Roker Park.
