Not alot, other than sink to the bottom half of the table.

    Sven ... consistently inconsistent.

I'm disappointed he's gone but have to say i've felt worse with others departing. had assembled a very strong championship squad and imo should have been given at least 6 more games.

A real gent - can understand why Man City fans still feel affection for him after he left there. Managed to recruit players to us that could have gone to bigger clubs. Really think the continent is best suited to him, if not a director of football role. Good luck for the future.

For me it is a knee jerk reaction to all of the fans that left the King Power stadium after the 3rd goal went in on Saturday. Our owners will very simply see that as potentially lowering match days gate revenue for the next few games therefore, have given the fans what they think we want!!! A sad day IMHO.

This, but think what they feel seeing people walking out on the team that they helped put together... it must have been extremely upsetting to see.

Agreed LeicWiz however, I just can't help but feel that owners who understand the "fickle" nature of Englush football would not have made this decision. If his replacement comes in and we go up then all this becomes irrelevant but the timing seems terrible, even more so after allowing Sven to spend money and pay big wages to build HIS team.

He had to go.. 13 games in and still didnt know his best team or formation. As someone else stated ive felt worse when others have left. Nigel pearson springs to mind!! Sven is not a championship manager. Yes he has brought in some quality players but at a cost. We move on....

I was actually a staunch defender of Sousa. I felt he was trying. I felt he had bad luck. I felt he was just the wrong manager for an ambitious English Championship team.

I know Sousa had many reasons to question, but I just remember feeling Sorry for the him, the club, the fans all the same.

I just can't feel the same about Sven.

I guess it's because of the hype, but it's more than that. I just felt despite all the resources he had, he set us up to play without width often negatively and with all the signings, no real pace (Vassell aside).

He has been too cautious, too negative in games for the taking and ultimately just didn't motivate them enough.

History will tell in the timing is great or a shocker. Who knows?

Lets face it, this is a shocking decision if we get McLaren, and is probably a great decision if we get O'Neill.

So, we'll have to wait and see who we appoint first.

Sven did well in his first few months but it's clear now he's the wrong man for the job.

I'd be lying if I said I wan't nervous about what is to come but sometimes, bold decisions need to made and risks need to be taken. This is something Sven should have learnt.

Firstly, thanks for his efforts at the club. I think that some of the players came here because they were attracted by Sven so, for me, what he has done is given the new manager a squad that is capable of promotion and a very strong nPower Championship squad on paper for them to work with. I think Sven was sacked more because of bad performances than bad results and I do think it was harsh but I hope this isn't going to be the norm from Top where he sacks every manager if we lose one game that we should win. As I say, I think it was more bad performances leading up to that match that then culminated in that defeat rather than a knee-jerk reaction to one loss. At least, I hope it was, otherwise I'm very worried.
