A red hot first half, well until they scored
    Deservedly gave us the lead,
But the time of their goal, just before half-time
Was not one of those that you need

And they upped their game by 50 per cent
Once half-tíme had been and then gone,
But despite them pressing and coming quite close
Bunn especially, deserved to hang on

I guess they might argue that one point at least
Should have been in their luggage home,
But just for once this year the good Lady Luck
Shone down on the Delia Dome

But you make your own luck, and the effort we saw
In chasing down every last ball,
Deserved any luck we got on the day
So don´t feel embarrassed at all

There´s been enough times when we´ve deserved more
From games, so just once in a while,
It´s nice when the boot is on the other foot
And this time it´s our turn to smile

So although the best chances did fall their way
Once the second half had begun,
Our lads performed manfully, riding the storm
And managed to see the job done

And talking of what is deserving or not
Goals don´t come much better, I´d say,
To win a game, than the one we saw from Pilks
So thank you sir for your fine play. OTBC

Have a great week all, then see if we can´t go and plunder Herr Laudrup

    Yours,

Hi RBF, we all agree it's nice to pick up all three poiunts even though we may not have deserved them!

I recorded MOTD2 and have only just watched it, that free kick that Bunny pushed onto the post in the second half was a tremendous save, worthy of the three points all by it's self! Ruddy may not be too badly missed after all!

Bunn is proving to be a very astute buy.

Couple of saves were first class.

No real chance with the goal, unless he was "stretch Armstrong"

Nice one again RBF! Gardener clearly thinks that football should be like horseshoes, where getting close to scoring counts! With the lead, City clearly kept defensive players back to make it hard for Sunderland and it worked, just! Had they scored another, then City would have gone on the attack again and Sunderland would have been hanging on, methinks (rather than Gardener's 'we should have won 5-2'!).

Agree about Bunn, who looked assured and confident. I think he actually got his fingertips to the Gardener's shot but not quite enough to turn it past the post. Several other saves were top-class as well.

a very jekyll and hyde performance. i was thinking about 5 minutes before halftime, that we must not concede before the break. if we had gone in 2-0 i think we would have seen a different 2nd half and we probably would have added at least one more goal.

Worst bit about the goal was the space he was given to shoot Bunn really did well to touch it

No complaints about any of it you don't go unbeaten for the length of time we have without being good!
